Investment platform Hargreaves Lansdown has revealed five funds that its fund research team are watching in 2026.
The funds are not recommended, but Hargreaves has highlighted them for covering “a range of areas” that “could be worth considering for the year ahead and beyond”.
The top five picks are:
Schroder Managed Balanced
This is a ‘fund of funds’, which means the managers primarily invest in funds run by other Schroder’s fund managers. Collectively, they are invested in hundreds of different companies (stocks/shares) and bonds (loans to companies/governments).
JPMorgan Emerging Markets
This fund is managed by a seasoned emerging markets investor, who is supported by over 100 investment professionals across nine countries. The fund invests in some of the market’s largest countries including India and China, as well as smaller economies like Turkey and Mexico.
T. Rowe Price Global Value Equity
This fund focuses on ‘value’, which means focusing on companies that appear undervalued compared to their long-term prospects. This fund invests in both ‘deep value’ companies, as well as high-quality businesses that appear temporarily undervalued.
Invesco Tactical Bond
This bond fund invests in all types of bonds, with very few constraints. This includes ‘high yield’ bonds, as well as emerging market bonds, which are a little riskier – but therefore have more potential for higher returns. Hargreaves highlighted that the fund offers good exposure to the wider bond market.
Liontrust UK Growth
Hargreaves said this fund could be one for ‘contrarians’ – people who go against the grain. The managers of this fund think the secret to successful investing is to find the few companies with an economic advantage, and historically the fund has held up well during market falls.
If you aren’t sure about investing, it may be worth considering getting professional advice. Be aware that investments can rise and fall.
