The Investing Insiders Financial Book Awards recognise the best financial books published in the UK that aim to help people make better financial decisions.
a) The Investing Insiders Financial Book Awards (‘The Prize’) is a literary prize awarded to the books that a panel of independent judges considers to be the best financial books published in the UK between January 1st 2023 and September 29th 2025. In selecting the winner, the judges will be using rigorous criteria including comprehensiveness, clarity, reliability, originality and impact on the reader. The judges’ decision is final.
b) Publishers are invited to submit titles on behalf of authors eligible for the prize online using the submission form on the Investing Insiders Financial Book Awards web page. Only submissions using the form will be considered.
c) There are 6 categories available to apply for: Best Book for Personal Finance, Best Book for Budgeting, Best Book for Investing, Best Book for Investing, Best Book for Pensions and Retirement, Best Book for Children’s Finances and Best Book for Small Businesses.
d) Publishers can enter the same book in multiple categories using separate entry submission forms.
e) A £1,000 cash prize will be awarded to the author of the winning book in each category.
f) Investing Insiders reserves the right to remove certain categories if enough books are not submitted for entry.
g) Investing Insiders reserves the right to reallocate how the ‘Prize’ is awarded if the categories are changed.
a) To be eligible for entry, a book must be published between August 1st 2023 and September 29th 2025. (‘the eligibility period’).
b) Titles eligible for the Prize must be printed works of non-fiction published during the eligibility period by an imprint with a formal presence in the UK. The imprint must be part of a UK-registered company that publishes at least three titles a year and sells its titles in pounds sterling (GBP).
c) Eligible books must be printed in the English language and for a UK audience.
d) The following categories of books are not eligible for the Prize:
i. Non-fiction books unrelated to finance or the categories being awarded.
Ii. Fiction books, poetry, plays.
iii. Books that are published only in ebook or audiobook format that do not have an accompanying print edition. Or books that are available in print only as print-on-demand editions.
iv. Self published books where the author is the publisher are not eligible for the Prize. This includes if the publisher is a company specifically set up to publish the work being entered. Entries from publishers where the author is the person who owns the majority shareholding or otherwise controls the company are ineligible. Titles where they have been published under any arrangement by which the publisher is paid to publish by the author and/or anyone on behalf of the author are ineligible.
v. Authors must be alive when their books are submitted.
vi. Publishers must be able to supply biographical details of the author(s) of each submitted book. Books written by anonymous authors will not be considered.
e) Entries must be submitted by 31 October 2025 at 23:59 GMT (‘the Deadline).
f) Investing Insiders reserves the right to change the Deadline date.
g) The judges’ decision about the Prize is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
a) By entering the Prize, the publishers and authors of the shortlisted and winning titles are agreeing to take part in reasonable publicity, including promoting their books and the Prize.
b) The winning title must display prominently the words ‘Winner of the Investing Insiders Financial Book Awards’ or the Investing Insiders Financial Book Awards logo on any reprints of the book.
